Politics as Usual No More

Vote Scott Taylor

Dr. Rand Paul soundly beat the establishment backed candidate in Kentucky last night. His opponent had almost all of the party endorsements locally and in Congress. The recent defeat of Senator Bennett all the way down to the local defeat of a council-man in Norfolk show a clear message from across the country: Americans are tired of the same old establishment officials running the show. People are ready for new ideas, servant leaders, and Constitutional values.

Americans are soundly rejecting the status quo. People realize the trouble we are in as a nation; we are facing an economic crisis, two wars, and a Congress ready to spend our future generations into oblivion. We must have men and women with backbone in Washington to move this country forward. As I walk the streets of this district, I hear a similar response from our neighbors.
Today we have a pre-primary contribution deadline, donate today! We have three weeks left in this campaign, I challenge you to get involved. Whether you help us phone-bank, knock on doors or make a financial contribution, every little bit helps. We continue to build momentum everyday.

If we continue to elect cookie cutter politicians, then we will continue to get cookie cutter results.
God Bless You and God Bless America,
Scott Taylor

The American Entrepreneur

taylorI often contemplate the unlimited potential of the American entrepreneur. They have created the best experiment in democracy the world has ever seen. The Federal Government cannot and will not solve this economic crisis. Those same entrepreneurs and passionate small business owners surely can, and they will.  The unemployment rate is high, out of control spending is rampant, and our debt continues to grow. These issues will test the very fabric of this nation. Our leaders in Washington need to understand that more government is not the answer. We must help to initiate competition to stimulate this economy, not blindly throw money at our problems.

We have recently been inundated with news about Federal and state immigration policy. Both parties agree that the border must be secure, but the devil is always in the details. I disagree that we should have ever passed the stimulus bill, but if we are not going to immediately rescind those funds, we should use some of them to hold a competition for entrepreneurs. They can compose the most efficient, effective, and economically feasible way to secure our border. We must use the advances in technology, networking, and human collaboration to be successful in this venture. This will create jobs, new technology for other applications, reduce costs, but most importantly; we will get our borders secured.

Thank you all for your continued support. Vote Scott Taylor June 8th.

Scott Taylor Responds to Golden’s Republican Withdrawal

I would like to talk about Candidate Kenny Golden’s withdrawal from Virginia’s Second Congressional Republican nomination. Mr. Golden believes the winner of the Republican primary has already been chosen by several party insiders. I disagree that these few party insiders are the people who should, or will decide who our nominee is. It is disappointing that the former chairman of the Virginia Beach Republican Party no longer feels he has a home in his own party. I believe that it is none other than the voters of the 2nd District who will choose the best candidate to represent them. I will give a voice to these voters, and not spend money at rates that only the current Congress can keep up with.
Supporting ScottAs we criss-cross this district, we are gaining momentum, support and a substantial grassroots following. It is clear that this race is far from over. If we continue to elect cookie-cutter politicians we will continue to get cookie-cutter results.

Sincerely,
Scott Taylor

Team Taylor

Greetings Everyone,

I want to personally write you all a quick update on the campaign. I have been hitting the streets and talking to our neighbors about their concerns and about the direction of this nation. I can tell you one thing: people are worried. Worried about the price of healthcare “reform” and the effect it will have on them and their businesses. They are worried about the giant bill left at our children’s table for them to pay, before they are even born. People are worried that when we get to where the current Congress and administration leave us, that we will be stranded in a dreary and desolate place that hardly resembles freedom and the principles that made this nation so great. I want to fight for you to make sure your voices are heard, and that these tough decisions are based on comprehensive outreach and research, not political convenience. Continue Reading
